Surveys: your opinions are valuable

While it may sound too good to be true, the truth is that many companies are willing to pay for your opinions and feedback, and you can get paid for your views on anything from fashion to politics.

And the best part of it… all you need is a computer or smartphone and an internet connection!

Do I really get paid just for my opinion?

Most survey websites deposit money into your account upon completion of a survey, others give additional rewards such as vouchers, gift cards or sweepstakes. This means that you not only get paid for sharing your opinions but also have the chance to win exciting prizes or discounts on your favourite products and services.

Each survey likely pays small amounts, but requires little effort, and with some dedication and persistence, you can accumulate significant rewards over time.

Your feedback provides valuable insights which many companies are willing to pay for to help them to improve existing offerings and develop new ones that better meet consumer needs and preferences. By participating in surveys, you play an active role in shaping the future of various industries and making a meaningful impact with your opinions.

Who is it for?

In short, anyone and everyone!

One of the greatest perks of participating in online surveys is the flexibility it offers. With no set hours or commitments, you can complete surveys at your convenience, so whether you're a busy parent, a full-time student, or you have a 9-5 job, you can easily fit survey-taking into your schedule. The accessibility of surveys makes it a convenient way to earn some extra cash, and an ideal side hustle for those with hectic lifestyles.

So how do I get started??

There are multiple websites out there offering paid surveys. My recommendation would be to sign up to a few to maximise the earnings, as often companies are looking for different demographics. Some of my favourites below…

  • Survey Junkie

  • Swagbucks

  • Branded Survey

  • I-Say / Ipsos

  • Populus Live

  • Curious Cat

  • Surveysonthego

Watch-outs

  • Some survey sites have payout thresholds, requiring you to save up a certain amount of money (e.g. £20) in order to receive the payout

  • Never pay to join a site. Some sites will charge a fee to register, with claims they will have well-paid surveys. These are normally scams, and you will end up losing money

  • Often you get emails with surveys, so it can be helpful to sign-up with a new email address, to avoid getting too many emails to your personal account, nor missing any surveys that you might want to complete. Don’t sign-up with the multiple email addresses though, as this could be caught and you risk having your balance wiped

  • Many surveys have a demographic screening. Whilst it might be tempting to lie in order to get into a specific survey that is clearly targeting a certain demographic, survey sites often cross-check, and you risk having your balance wiped for fraudulent answers
